Hi, everyone! My name is Safa Sheehan and welcome to my website!
I am a Sufi Healer and Master Teacher in the Shadhiliyya Way. My background is in massage therapy, reflexology, infant massage, aromatherapy and holistic nutrition.
I received my Masters Degree in Spiritual Healing and Counseling from the University of Spiritual Healing and Sufism formerly The Jaffe Institute. I have been in the healing arena for nearly ten years now, and it all started with my own healing journey.
How did I get here? Like you, I was in pain physically and emotionally. I was searching for anything that would help. I read everything I could get my hands on regarding healing the mind, body and spirit. I also tried many different forms of complimentary and traditional medicine to heal. Yes, everything I tried helped to a certain degree, but still something was missing, I couldn’t quite put my finger on it…
Then one day, I just had it. Although I wasn’t a spiritual person at the time, I got down on my knees, in deep grief, and asked God for answers. I wanted the truth about my health and everything else. Well, I got my answers…the damn broke open….it was incredibly painful, but somehow I knew I was headed in the right direction, although I had no idea where that was.
Within just a few months I ended up at the University of Spiritual Healing and Sufism. Although I didn’t know it at the time, this was a life changing step in my journey.
As I walked into the first lecture, I was feeling things on an emotional and physical level that I have never felt before. My spirit was soaring. I felt so much love….the love was palpable and flowing in abundance. The door was open and inviting me in, so full of light…just waiting for me. Every cell in my body was awakened in awe – I just sat there crying, some of it was pain and the other was thankfulness. I felt like I was being caressed by God’s love, softly and gently held. I felt like I had been lost and then I returned home, to a home which I had never known before. The deepest part of me knew this was a part of the plan, a significant step taken to walk closer to God. When you open your heart you see that all the answers are right there, the thing is they have been there all along.
Since then, I have had profound healing in all areas of my life which unfolded beautifully each in its own time, its own perfection. Imagine a beautiful flower that is closed because there is darkness and then petal by petal when light shines, it opens to glorify the Creator in great splendor and show the world its beauty and essence not for its own sake but in complete surrender, to share and be apart of the oneness of creation.
